Brief Introduction of 2016 Beijing Design Week
Beijing Design Week (BJDW) is a national large-scale annual cultural event and international A-type creative design event held in Beijing with the approval of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, which is cosponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Beijing Municipal Government. Since its launch in 2009, BJDW has been held for six sessions by 2015. As the design week with the largest scale in Asia and creative design public service platform with international influence in Beijing and with sustainable development, every year BJDW attracts more than 2,000 designers, institution representatives and academic professionals, more than 100 registered media and 5 million audience.
2016 Beijing Design Week will be held from September 23 to October 7, 2016 with the theme of “Design 2020”, and composed of nine main sections, namely opening ceremony, themed exhibitions, host city, classic design award, Beijing design forum, design market, creative design service meeting, international design trade fair and design hop, covering various culture creativity places in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, and displaying and presenting the innovative achievements of integrative development among culture creativity, design service and correlated industries.
2016 Beijing Design Week is hosted by the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China and Beijing Municipal Government, organized by Beijing Gehua Cultural Development Group and Beijing Industrial Design Center, and carried out by Beijing Design Week Co., Ltd.
